E30-3743; 1930 Evening or Street Frock
13-piece hand-drafted pattern originally from Butterick, I refer to this as the Gosford gown!
It is ravishing in silk charmeuse with a number of curved seams, many of which lay on the bias to create the lovely bell-shaped skirt sections!
Weights are applied at the hem of the train to keep it from flipping and to control the drape of bias areas of the skirt.
The street frock version features a flounced sleeve.
3/4" seams are given at underarm (all side) seams and 3/8" seams are given on all other edges.
